Burque Throwdown is a pottery school and clay playhouse in downtown Albuquerque. We offer ceramics classes – both beginner and experienced— as well as date nights, corporate team building and other fun events.
With a large array of hand building tools and a brand spanking new fancy slab roller, you'll have everything you need to create the masterpiece of your dreams. You'll also have individual attention and guidance on class projects, or your own project ideas, from our talented instructors.
Whether you are an absolute novice or have earned your saddle sores at the wheel, Burque Throwdown will tailor each class to the students enrolled. We keep each class small so you will have individualized attention throughout.
We maintain six days weekly (outside of class time) of open studio hours for students to come and work on their pieces independently. You can trim your pots, make new ones, glaze your masterpieces or do whatever you need to do to get your projects to completion.
